Say it: Tewrk lee-ra-suh o-la-rak, lewt-fen
It means: “charge me in TRY, please, without conversion.”

Bank ATMs (Ziraat, İşbank, Garanti) may still charge notable operator fees to foreign cards; compare a few banks. Airport and hotel-lobby machines are the priciest.
Cash matters in bazaars and small eateries; cards fine in malls and hotels.
With a volatile lira, DCC sellers push “lock your rate now”. Networks convert at settlement anyway, so the lock is just a markup.
